GIVEAWAY : Maybelline Baby Lips!

In New York I picked up a little somethin' for my UK readers, as sadly some of the beauty bits over the sea are a little out of reach for us British girls!!
I wanted to get something pretty small for postage's sake, but something fairly unobtainable in the UK and as far as I know, these have not yet been released here! The prize for this giveaway is the Maybelline Baby Lips lip balm, in 'Pink Punch'.

This cute little lip balm claims to give 8 hour moisture, make your lips 82% visibly less dry, 94% less rough, 77% more supple and 77% better looking with a slick of sheer colour! Whoa they went a bit mental on the research didn't they!

All you have to do is follow my blog, and follow me on Twitter. I have a new account and am very fresh to the Twitter world with zilcho followers so if you could follow me, introduce yourself and say hello that would be super duper lovely and I will try to get into using it!!

EOS Summer Fruit Lipbalm and GIVEAWAY

In America one of the things I definitely wanted to try and get hold of were the EOS (Evolution of Smooth) Lipbalms, purely for 'done that' value since I seriously am not in need of any lip products.

It didn't prove difficult since every supermarket and pharmacy stocked the balms, for around 6 dollars. I chose the pink summer fruit version! They are made with shea butter and jojoba oil for 'happy, moist super smooth lips.'

The consistency is like Body Shop lip butters if anyone has tried them before? It has quite a strong fruity smell which is not unpleasant but would make me feel a bit queasy after a while! I like that they are 100%, natural and 95% organic, paraben and petrolium free and not tested on animals.

You can get hold of EOS balms on Ebay for around 5 pounds with postage, an example seller is linked here.

While I was away I picked up a couple of exciting America things to give away to my lovely readers sooo ... later on this evening my next post will be about a giveaway of another American beauty product that we are yet to see over here in the UK! Sadly for this reason it will be open to UK followers only. Can you guess what the prize will be ??!!

Maggie Li for Glossybox September

This is by far the most exciting Glossy box I've had in a very long while, and I'm quite pleased with the contents.

This months box has been designed for Glossybox by Maggie Li -a London illustrator. It's a really pretty pastel creation that I'm sure we will all be finding alternative uses for! The theme was 'Rising Stars' introducing us to some of the most exciting 'up and coming' stars in beauty... Here's what I got:

Rodial - Glamoxy Snake Serum (anti wrinkle treatment) and 5 Minute Facial (resurfacing clay mask).

Loreal Tecni Art Full Volume Extra Mousse - Claims to create 'big boudoir hair' and overall volume that doesn't weigh hair down. Luxury sample size!

Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream - Triple action cream designed to soothe tired eyes, smooth away dark circles and reduce appearance of fine lines.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream - The best selling daily moisturiser (have no idea how this is 'up and coming?!)

Loreal Tecni Art Liss Control - Mini smoothing serum

Lady Gaga Fame - 'Opulent, crushed floral fragrance that's black like the soul of fame but transparent once airbourne.'

I'm quite pleased with all the products I recieved - did anyone else get a similar pick?! Mini reviews to follow!!

Samantha's Secret | Wrist Favourites

I thought I would share a snap I took a while ago of my current favourite wrist combo. As it gets colder I'm enjoying the last bits of my tan and I love wearing gold at the moment, it seems to warm up my skin a little.

Watch: Michael Kors
Peace Bracelet: Accessorize
Studs Bracelet: Topshop

I've had my MK for a year or so now and it's the horn/gold model. I'm lusting after a rose gold one .... Hmmm will have to butter up the boyfriend!!! I get a lot of compliments on the rose gold peace bracelet, I picked it up in the accessorize sale and payed a ridiculous £2.50 for it. I love it but it was only cheap so I would love to get a real rose gold one or something very similar as it will be on it's last legs soon.

Samantha's Secret | Featured Follower #2 - L is for Ladybird

Hi Girlies, sorry that we have missed a week of the Featured Follower posts - but I have been in AMERICAAA!!! I have loads of amazing things to share from my trip but first here is the luurrrvely Laura.

Helloooo, I'm Laura and I'm a blogging newbie. I started blogging last month as 'l is for ladybird' and I've had such a blast doing it so far. I enjoy posting about lots of things that I like, and want to share with you, but I also enjoy the social part of blogging too. The support over my first month of blogging has been phenominal and I've met some lovely people who I can't wait to get to know better as I continue to blog. So yes, if you'd like to follow me in my travels as I continue to blog, I'd love to have you on board. P.s, I can't wait to meet you!

1. What would you like to be when you grow up?! When I grow up, I want to be a lawyer. Don't fall asleep just yet, its not all boring, I promise. I'm currently at university studying my bum off to get to where I want to be, and I can't wait to get into the working world and do it for real!

2. What is THE best foundation of all time? I've been very fourtunate with foundations in that, I found one I liked at a relatively young age and as it does everything that I personally want from a foundation, I've never felt the need to change it, why fix what isn't broken, right? Anyway,my foundation of choice is bourjois 10 hour sleep effect.

3. What's the most expensive beauty item you own? Oh gosh, I don't really own anthing too pricey, although I do spend a fair amount on bronzers, but that's due to the sheer quantity of them, not their individual prices.

4. What is your favourite post of your own / the one you would most like new readers to see? My favourite post is a tricky one as I'm forever adding new ones. I guess if it were to be one I'd like new readers to see it'd be the first little introductory post I wrote, jut so they get to know a little about me and my life, as when I'm commenting on on blog I like to feel that I know that person, if that makes sense. I feel it enables you to make comments more personal. If I see a comment from someone who speaks about my past posts and has taken the time to try to get to know me, I instantly want to get to know them too and its so great making new friends on here, so yes, my about me post, or even the little about me bit under my blog picture.

5. Your favourite small blog to read? (Under 500 followers) LolaRose - This girl is so incredibly sweet and she has hair like ariel, the little mermaid, which his amazing in itself. She hasn't been blogging long, like myself, but I already adore her and her blog. She's so caring and considerate and just so much fun. Also, she has some amazing clothes and you should really pop over and say hello!

Have a looky around Lauras blog l is for ladybird and follow her!! If you would like to feature your blog just leave a comment below and I will be happy to consider it for future posts!

Samantha's Secret | Featured Follower #1 : LolaRose

Last week I wrote a post asking followers if they would like to be involved in my 'Featured Follower' series. A few of you were keen and I'm very happy to introduce my first: beautiful Leona from LolaRose.

Hi girlies, I'm Leona from LolaRose - Irish Fashion and Beauty Blogger .
I am an 18year old Irish, soon to be PR student who loves all things girly, blingy and OTT!!
I specialise mainly in OOTD/N's as I find them to attract the most attention but I also do product reviews. This is actually my second blog but I decided to start LolaRose as my other blog didn't go in the direction I had hoped for despit having over 200 followers!
I feel much more confident about my new blog and already I see it going in the right direction despite only having it for over a month:)
The thing I love most about blogging is the fact it gives me so much confidence to see people actually like how I look and the clothes I wear as normal girls are very bitchy towards me despite not knowing me! I love how genuine and lovely the girls are here on blogger towards eachother.

The lovely Samantha has written a few questions for me to answer; So lets get started!!

1. What would you like to be when you grow up?! I would love to be a journalist or just a general PR representing celebs, hopefully I will be able to achieve one of these goals as both are applicable in the course I have chosen :)

2. What is THE best foundation of all time?! I have whittled my way through MANY bottles of foundation from Rimmel to M.A.C to Make up Forever to Este Lauder and I have to be honest, for lasting power, instant coverage it has to be "Rimmel Lasting  Finish 25hour lasting Founation" Although M.A.C's Studio Fix Fluid is a close second;)

3. What is the most expensive beauty item that you own Ehhh off the top of my head this is quite difficult but the first thing that comes to mind is again M.A.C's Studio Fix Fluid @ €36.50. On second thoughts I do have Chanel Chance perfume which costs €134 here in Ireland, thats beauty related, isn't it ?!

4. What is your favourite post of your own / the one you would most like new readers to see? The post I was most excited to write was definately my Debs/Prom post which you can see here , But unfortunately I feel like I wrote it when I only had 20 odd followers and it didn't get the audience it deserved!

5. Your favourite small blog link to read? (Under 500 followers) It's got to be Allie's from Big Hair Bigger Heels which you can find here. I love everything about this blog, it's name, Allie's look and Allie herself she always writes the loveliest comments on my posts:)
I love love love answering questions like these and I especially liked Samantha's choice of questions so well done you!!
Thanks again for choosing me for this wonderful idea hun :)

If you would like to have your blog featured just leave a comment as I would love to have this as a regular feature each week and get more posts lined up!
